Streamlined Elevating Legrests
Elevating legrests design eliminates the traditional push rod
to deliver long-term performance.

Fold-Down Backrest
Positioned at the pivot point, this specially designed back provides the strength and precision
to allow the user to move the backrest to a specific angle or fold it all the way down for transport storage

Three-Point Armrest Attachment
The armrest design features a 3 point attachment and toggle release that
allow for easy removal and reattachment.
Spring-Lock Assisted Wheel Locks
Safety is first. The new spring-lock wheel locks are designed to ensure a secure lock.
If they are not engaged, they spring forward
(Optional extension handles fold down out of the way to facilitate easy transfers.)
Bi-directional click-in-place hangers snap in place for a positive lock and swing in/out for better access in small spaces.
The actuation lever is located under the hanger tubing to avoid damage.

Three separate types of axle plates are available on the Guardian® Escort:
(1) The standard offset axle adjusts the center of gravity by setting the bracket infront/behind the rear tubing.
(2) The amputee axle offsets the receiving sleeve 2 3/4" behind the rear vertical post.
(3) The transport axle adapts the chair for 12" rear wheels.
A unique feature of the Guardian® Escort its ablility to convert the footrest hangers into a fixed frame.
By removing the plunger assembly under the actuation lever, the footrest hangers become fixed in place.
The plunger assembly can be put back in place any time to return the swing-away function.
With heavy use in mind, our engineers designed a reinforced set of front forks.
These forks feature a scratch resistant finish. To prevent breakdown over time,
the bearings are press fitted into each fork. For extra duability, the entire fork
and stem are then threaded directly into the frame of the chair.
